Tervehdys :-)
Olemme nelihenkinen perhe Keski-Suomesta Äänekoskelta. Perheeseen kuuluu minun lisäksi lapset; Sinna (-96) ja Eetu (-94) ja mieheni Esa. Kaikkien yhteinen harrastus ja kiinnostuksen aihe on koirat.
Keväällä 2003 kävimme Esan kanssa yhdessä kasvattajan peruskurssiin.
Kennelnimi Shoutinghill hyväksyttiin 02.08.2004, samalla myös allekirjoitin kennelliiton kasvattajasitoumuksen.
 
Shoutinghill on kotikenneli ja koirat ovat meille ennen kaikkea perheenjäseniä. Koirat; Kata, Linda, Saimi, Juice ja Hugo elävät muun perheen joukossa sisätiloissa. Myöskin pentueet syntyvät ja kasvavat sisällä, ne tottuvat samalla lapsiin, toisiin koiriin ja kaikkiin muihinkin kotona kuuluviin ääniin.
Kasvatuksellisesti ajatellen tavoitteenamme on saada aikaan terveitä, hyvä luonteisia, rotumääritelmän näköisiä koiria ... ja eipä olisi pahitteeksi vaikka toimisivat luolillakin.

Koko ikäni olen kasvanut ns. koirien ympäröimänä ja jo pienenä tyttönä serkkujen kanssa leikimme koiranäyttelyä seisottaen pöydällä tätini amerikancockereita. Suvussani onkin monta eri rodun kasvattajaa ja yksi ulkomuototuomarikin mahtuu joukkoon, eli tämä harrastus on varmaan tullut minuun jo äidinmaidossa :-)
Koirien kasvatus on ollut haaveeni lapsesta asti, mutta vasta vuonna 2000 olosuhteet tulivat sille suotuisaksi, muutimme maalle ja saimme tilaa harrastaa koirien kanssa.
Terrieri on meille rotuna luonnollinen valinta, sillä niistä oli sekä minulla että Esalla kokemusta elämän varrella :-)

Sileäkarvainen kettuterrieri vei voiton monen muun terrierin joukossa mm. suhteellisen helpon turkkinsa ansiosta. Ja onhan se muutenkin oikein mukava perhekoira, sopivan kokoinen, iloinen joka paikan höylä ja aina valmiina kaikkeen perheen toimintaan. Olimme myös jo pidemmän aikaa seurailleet kettuterrierejä ”kehän laidalla” ja niiden ylväs olemus viehätti meitä suuresti :-)
Meille isona plussana oli myös Kettuterriereissä sisällä kytevä riistavietti. Se luo tiettyä särmää koiran luonteeseen ja mahdollisesti antaa tilaisuuden harrastaa myös metsästystä,  kaikkien muiden hienojen harrastuksien rinnalla.

We are a family from mid-Finland, a town called Äänekoski. Our family consists of four persons; me, my husband Esa and our children Sinna (96) and Eetu (94). Our common interest is dogs.
During Spring 2003 me and Esa completed the Dog Breeder Basic Course. Our kennel name Shoutinghill was accepted the 2nd August 2004. At the same time I signed the Finnish Kennel Club’s breeder agreement.
In Shoutinghill Kennel dogs are foremost family members. Our dogs Kata, Linda, Saimi, Hugo and Juice live inside the house with other family members. Likewise, puppies are born and raised inside. While growing up inside, puppies get used to children, other dogs and different household noises.

Our goal is to breed healthy, well-adjusted and happy dogs which meet the breed standards. Hunting ability is also desirable.:)
I have grown up ”surrounded by dogs” - already as children me and my cousins used to play dog show with my aunt’s American Cocker Spaniels. There are several breeders as well as one dog show judge in my family. So, I quess this passion must be somewhat natural for me. :)

Dog breeding has been my dream since I was a child, but it was the year 2000 when circumstances finally allowed this dream to come true. We moved to the countryside and got room and possibilities to have several dogs.
Terrier was a natural choice for us, since both Esa and I already had experience on the breed.
We chose Smooth Fox Terrier from the several terriers breeds because of many reasons, one of them being the coat which is quite easy to take care of. Besides that, Smooth Fox Terriers are ideal family dogs - happy and always ready to participate in all sorts of activities. We had already for a long time followed Fox Terriers in dog shows and felt truly impressed by their appearance.:)

A big advantage for us was also Fox Terrier’s hunting instinct. It gives certain edge to the dog’s personality and an oppurtunity to hunting. Ofcourse, there are also several other activities and hobbies which Fox Terriers enjoy.
